I absolutely adored this story so, so much. We join Enne and Levi as they search New Reynes for Enne’s mother, get in trouble with a number of people running the streets and casinos of New Reynes and end up finding themselves in much more trouble then they could have anticipated. Levi, meanwhile, has some problems of his own as he tries to get from under the thumb of Vianca Augustine who he is running an investment scheme for and is just one debt away from completing.

She enlists the help of Levi Glaisyer, the 18-year-old lord of the Irons – as her mother instructed her to do. In Ace Of Shades, we follow 17-year-old Enne Salta, who, after receiving a letter from her mother, travels to New Reynes to try and find her.
